Ever had a breakup or personal confrontation where you ended up feeling traumatised and just couldn’t let the resentment go? If so, you could be suffering from what’s come to be known as ‘Love Addiction.’ That being the case, Alan Robarge could be just the man to help.
Rather than looking at Love Addiction in the classic sense, Alan believes – much like Howard M Halpern does – that it’s much less about the disease model of ‘addiction.’ Instead, he sees it being much more about unresolved trauma (a kind of relationship PTSD) that’s triggered by attachment injuries in adult life.

On his YouTube channel, the Philadelphia-based therapist explores this trauma with videos dedicated to what he labels The New Love Addiction. Alongside this, his more recent videos aim to help you Improve Your Relationships – which is also the name of his digital membership community and eight-week programme. He’s also active on Instagram, and his website features a wealth of blog posts dedicated to helping you understand obsessive thinking, and relating more healthily to the people you love.
