Jefferson Garcia

My name is Jefferson Garcia, and I hold a double major in Biology and Children Studies in Health and Sciences, with a minor in Spanish from Eastern Washington University. I am currently working towards my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Gonzaga University. I have always been captivated by human experiences and the diverse paths people take in life. This fascination led me to engage in cancer research and work in social services, specifically in Child Protective Services (CPS) and Adult Protective Services (APS). These roles allowed me to gain valuable insights into the challenges people face and the resilience they show in overcoming them. My academic and professional experiences have shaped my holistic approach to supporting individuals and families. Now, as I immerse myself in counseling, I aim to create inclusive and affirming spaces where clients feel seen and supported. My journey has been driven by a desire to understand and help others, and I am committed to making a positive impact through my work in mental health counseling.
